Welcome to the Lab!

The European Severe Storms Laboratory’s mission is to make Europe more resilient to severe weather. We carry out research on extreme weather and support the research community by operating the European Severe Weather Database (ESWD.eu) and (co-) organizing the European Conferences on Severe Storms (ECSS.eu). With the ESSL Testbed, we provide a facility to evaluate forecast tools and offer training to Europe’s weather forecasters.
