On 19th March 2001 strong wind causing damages occurred in Budatinska Lehota Village (north-west part of Slovakia). It is supposed this wind was connected with cumulonimbus clouds on the cold front proceeding across Slovakia during advection of very cold air from northwest. The strong wind, lasting for about one minute, caused breaking down of roofs from some houses, and pulling out of some trees. Roofs, boughs, boards, and iron fences sheets were reported to fly around and were thrown up to distance of 300 meters. Moreover, destruction of some brick walls was reported as well. Some people described this phenomenon as "dreadful vortex, which pulled out pylons and trees from the ground."

Macro- and meso-synoptic development of this situation is discussed with concentration to cold front movement and to radar images of storm complex as well. Cross sections of some meteorological parameters, using ALADIN model, are presented because of potential reasons specification of severe wind formation. At the conclusion of poster presentation photos of damages are shown, also with short explanation of possible mechanism of its severe wind origin. There is also discussion as to features and characteristics of the above mentioned phenomena - according to eye witnesses, character of damages, and some meteorological conditions under which tornado or gustnado are supposed to occur.
