It will take place from 26 August to 30 August 2002 in Congress Center Pruhonice, about 10 km southeast of Prague.

This conference will be a follow-up conference to the Conference on European Tornadoes and Severe Storms, which was held on

  • detection, monitoring and research of severe convection by remote sensing techniques:
  • Doppler radars,
  • lightning detection and localization systems,
  • weather satellites;
  • ground and airborne surveys of damage caused by severe convective weather;

  • numerical modeling and forecasting of severe convective storms, synoptic and mesoscale processes associated with deep convection.
