European Severe Weather Database (ESWD) |
The objective of the ESWD is to collect and provide detailed and quality-controlled information on severe convective storm events over Europe. In colllaboration with national hydrometeorological services, voluntary observer networks (like Skywarn and Keraunos), and the public many tens of thousands of reports have been collected. Small data samples can be retrieved by all visitors at www.eswd.eu.
Important notice:
All usage of ESWD is subject to the conditions stipulated in the User's Agreement. By using the ESWD data, you accept all conditions in this Agreement (even when not actually signing the Agreement and returning it to ESSL).
For more intensive use, the following options exist, depending on which type of user you are.
For academic or personal (i.e. strictly non-commercial) use

- what the purpose of the study is
- what area, time period and event types you need.
ESSL reserves the right not to send data without specifying grounds.
If you want access to the data set for academic and/or private use, but need the web-interface, please consider to become a supporting member.
